Nintendo has announced in a tweet that it will be re-releasing the NES Classic Edition after its brief discontinuation last April 2017. Alongside the NES Classic Edition, the SNES Classic will also be available through the end of the year. The NES Classic Edition has an MSRP of USD59.99 (~Php3,142.61) and will be available on June 29, 2018 in the US. According to Bloomberg, Nintendo is providing Japanese retailers with an unusually attractive wholesale deal. As the Switch 2 launch approaches, it will be interesting to see if Nintendo’s tailored approach to the Japanese market will translate into another blockbuster success story.
