Epic Games has uploaded a real-time demo of their new Unreal Engine 5 game engine, showcasing its graphical fidelity. Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney told Engadget, "Once you break triangles down to the size of the pixel, you can't really achieve any more detail by rendering more of them because you've already achieved all the detail your screen is capable of displaying and your eyes are capable of seeing. Microsoft is reportedly developing an update for its Xbox app that will allow users to view and access their game libraries from platforms like Steam and the Epic Games Store. Epic Games is making significant strides in the mobile gaming arena by introducing 19 third-party games to its Epic Games Store on both Android and iOS platforms. In a recent announcement on the Epic Games website, the company revealed that the new mobile offerings will kick off with "Dungeon of the Endless: Apogee," available for free on both Android and iOS until February 20. Epic Games is also enhancing its partnership terms with third-party developers. Additionally, the newly launched "Launch Everywhere with Epic" program reduces the royalty rate from 5% to 3.5% for eligible Unreal Engine games that debut on the Epic Games Store simultaneously or prior to other platforms.
