Announced during CES last week, the lineup includes the black DualSense Edge controller ($199.99), Pulse Elite headset ($149.99), Pulse Explore wireless earbuds ($199.99), and PlayStation Portal ($199.99). The new accessories match the aesthetic of the black DualSense controller released in 2021, offering a stealthy, premium look for PS5 users who prefer a darker theme. The PlayStation Portal, Sony’s remote play handheld, now features black buttons to match the DualSense Edge, while still sporting the black accents seen on the original white model. The DualSense Edge, Sony’s premium pro-style controller, retains its deep customization options and PS5-optimized software integration, though it still suffers from the shorter battery life seen in its white variant. The DualSense Edge might be getting its first permanent color variation. According to PlayStation leaker dealabs, a black version of the DualSense Edge is set to launch soon, giving players an alternative to the existing white model. While the DualSense Edge has only been available in white so far (with the limited-edition gray 30th anniversary version being a rare collector’s item), the black version is expected to be a permanent addition, ensuring it will be restocked even if it sells out quickly, similar to the 30th anniversary edition. It’s expected that these new black options will have the same price points as their white counterparts: $199.99 for both the DualSense Edge and Pulse Explore Earbuds, and $149.99 for the Pulse Elite Headset.
