One of the pioneers of the Role Playing Game genre that is still alive and kicking is the Dragon Quest franchise. The game was only available in Japan since July 2017 but now, users around the world will now be able to experience Square Enix's latest addition to the Dragon Quest series. Sony Interactive Entertainment Hong Kong Limited (Singapore branch) recently announced that the English version of the Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age will be released in September 4, 2018 under the PlayStation 4 platform. Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age follows the traditional turn-based battle system with free movement system. Square Enix has estimated that it will take 50-100 hours to complete the game. Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age English version on PS4 is priced at Php2,799 (physical copy). After years of speculation and fan-driven hope, Square Enix has dropped its most explicit hint yet that a Final Fantasy IX Remake could finally be on the horizon. While no official confirmation has yet been made, this is the first time Square Enix has directly referenced Final Fantasy IX in a promotional context, lending weight to persistent rumors that a remake is in the works.
