Activision has announced the discontinuation of Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile, just over a year after its global release on March 21, 2024. By logging in with their Activision account, players can receive double their remaining COD Points and additional rewards in Call of Duty: Mobile. Activision has confirmed that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone will usher in Season 4 on Thursday, May 29, promising a fresh wave of maps, weapons, and the return of fan-favorite operator Stitch. Call of Duty content creators have already started speculating on the impact of Season 4. In a surprising turn for mobile shooters, Activision announced on May 16 that Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will be removed from the App Store and Google Play on Sunday, May 18, 2025. Early adoption was strong—generating $1.4 million in consumer spending within its first four days—but engagement lagged behind internal targets, and daily active user counts plateaued well below those of Call of Duty: Mobile. Looking ahead, Activision is encouraging displaced Warzone Mobile veterans to migrate to Call of Duty: Mobile, which remains one of the top-grossing mobile games worldwide. As an incentive, players who link their Call of Duty accounts before May 19 will have any unspent COD Points in Warzone Mobile transferred and doubled in Call of Duty: Mobile.
