In a closed-door meeting with the game press yesterday, Valve President Gabe Newell revealed the first few details about their upcoming Dota-inspired card game, Artifact. First off, Artifact will feature its own marketplace, much like the one that Dota 2 has, where users can buy and sell in-game goods. So far, Artifact stays true to its name as a MOBA-inspired card game. Pricing and exact release date of Artifact weren't revealed during the sit-down. Gameplay and graphics Now onto the fun part. Talking about the gameplay, expect to choose different roles such as Mage, Fighter, Jungler, Support, and Tank. However, for those of you that are not familiar with MTG, here is a quick refresher: In MTG, players take on the role of powerful wizards, known as Planeswalkers, who summon creatures, cast spells, and use artifacts to defeat their opponents.
