Sony has just issued a notice that starting November 13, integration between PS4 and PS5 consoles with X (formerly Twitter) will no longer function.
This would affect users by no longer having the ability to view any content published on X on both consoles
Users will also no longer have the ability to post any type of screenshots or clips of their games on the PS4 and PS5 on X.
It’s unclear as to why PlayStation has decided to terminate its integration with X as it follows Microsoft also terminating clip sharing on Xbox and the Windows Game Bar on X back in April, according to The Verge.
As of November 13, 2023, integration with X (formerly known as Twitter) will no longer function on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 consoles. This includes the ability to view any content published on X on PS5/PS4, and the ability to post and view content, trophies, and other gameplay-related activities on X directly from PS5/PS4 (or link an X account to do so).
