The Elder Scrolls Online is preparing another big update for adventurers. Update 47 will roll out on August 18 for PC/Mac and September 3 for Xbox and PlayStation, bringing with it a brand-new dungeon pack and several quality-of-life features for all players.

The highlight of this patch is the Feast of Shadows, a new dungeon pack that continues the ongoing Seasons of the Worm Cult saga. This pack adds two new four-player dungeons, each with its own storyline, enemies, and rewards.

In the Black Gem Foundry, players must fight their way through a Coldharbor facility where soul-stealing weapons are being created. Meanwhile, Naj-Caldeesh throws you into the middle of Argonian necromancers’ dark ritual, where they attempt to seize control of an ancient xanmeer’s keystone. Both dungeons are designed to challenge teams and expand the game’s lore.

Feast of Shadows can be accessed through the 2025 Content Pass, Premium Edition, ESO Plus membership, or purchased separately from the in-game Crown Store.

Aside from the dungeon pack, Update 47 also includes free additions for everyone. The long-awaited mount swimming feature finally allows your horses and other rides to wade through water, removing one of the most common frustrations in the game. Another welcome change is stackable survey reports, which will save inventory space for players who regularly gather resources.

Other improvements such as replayable quest dialogue and compass tweaks are also on the way, giving players even more ways to enjoy their adventures in Tamriel.

With new dungeons, fresh features, and long-requested changes, Update 47 ensures that 2025 will be an exciting year for ESO fans.
