DOOM: The Dark Ages now available in early access

Bethesda has officially released DOOM: The Dark Ages in early access worldwide.

The game serves as a single-player prequel to DOOM (2016) and DOOM Eternal, and is developed by id Software using the latest idTech 8 engine.

DOOM: The Dark Ages introduces a grounded but cinematic combat experience, allowing players to explore new worlds, pilot a Mecha Dragon, and take down massive Titans in an Atlan mech! The game features new weapons and abilities while maintaining the franchise’s fast-paced, first-person combat style Doomguy fans have come to love.

Players who purchase the Premium Edition, Premium Upgrade, or Collector’s Bundle can access the game early. These editions include the full game, Divinity Skin Pack, Digital Artbook and Soundtrack, and access to an upcoming campaign DLC.

The full version of DOOM: The Dark Ages launches globally on May 15, 2025, and will be available on the following platforms:

  • Xbox Series X|S
  • PlayStation 5
  • Steam
  • Battle.net
  • Xbox PC

It will also be available day one via Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, with support for Xbox Play Anywhere, allowing players to switch between console and PC.
