Aurora MLBB Stays Alive, Fnatic ONIC PH and RRQ Secure Knockout Stage Spots at M6 World Championship

The M6 World Championship Swiss Stage for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) has delivered intense competition, showcasing the skill and determination of top-tier teams. The first four days of the stage featured thrilling matchups, including a standout clash between Fnatic ONIC Philippines (FNOP) and Team Liquid Indonesia (TLID). In this high-stakes battle between champions of powerhouse regions, FNOP emerged victorious, continuing their dominant performance with a win over BTK to secure a spot in the knockout stage.

Joining FNOP in the knockout stage is RRQ, the first team to lock in their place after achieving a perfect 3-0 record. RRQ triumphed over Keep Best Gaming, Team Spirit, and Twisted Minds in a stellar display of teamwork and strategy. Meanwhile, Aurora MLBB faced challenges early on, falling to Falcon Esports and NIP Flash, which placed them in the precarious 0-2 bracket.

In must-win elimination games, Aurora MLBB rose to the occasion, defeating Ulfhednar in a decisive 2-0 sweep. Keep Best Gaming similarly avoided elimination with a victory over Maycam Evolve. However, the losses for Ulfhednar and Maycam Evolve marked the end of their tournament journey, as they finished in 15th-16th place. Aurora MLBB and Keep Best Gaming now face an uphill battle, requiring two consecutive wins to keep their championship hopes alive.

The Swiss Stage format, which emphasizes performance across multiple rounds, continues to add unpredictability to the tournament. Teams are required to secure three wins to advance to the knockout stage, with matchups determined by records rather than a fixed bracket. The stakes remain high, as teams with three losses will be eliminated.

The next round of matches resumes on December 3, 2024, following a one-day break. Key battles in the 2-1 and 1-2 brackets will determine the fates of several teams, while the Swiss Stage concludes on December 5 with crucial matchups involving 2-2 record teams. Following this, the playoffs’ knockout stage will kick off on December 7, where the remaining teams will vie for the prestigious championship title.

With powerhouse performances from FNOP and RRQ and Aurora MLBB’s fight to survive, the M6 World Championship promises even more drama and unforgettable moments as it progresses.
