Online PC games that couples can play together

This global quarantine might have forced many couples in an LDR type of situation, but there are other things you could do to bond with your boo. One good way of spending quality time is through gaming. There are so many online PC games that offer multiplayer modes that allow players to interact and enjoy the game with their loved ones. Here are some of our recommendations that you would want to play with your special someone.

Portal 2

Just like its predecessor Portal (2007), this game challenges you and your bae to solve puzzles by placing portals and teleporting between them. Portal 2 adds features including tractor beams, lasers, light bridges, and paint-like gels that either alter player movement or allow portals to be placed on any surface. It’s a great game to practice your problem-solving skills as a couple, making you both more responsible and independent in the future.

Don’t Starve Together

Don’t Starve Together is the standalone multiplayer expansion of the uncompromising wilderness survival game, Don’t Starve. Players enter a strange and unexplored world full of strange creatures, dangers, and surprises. Both players should gather resources to craft items and build the right structures to survive. This surely lets you and your girlfriend at the edge of your seats and put both of your communication skills to the test.

Divinity: Original Sin II

Looking for an adventure? Well, we got you covered. Divinity: Original Sin II is a role-playing video game developed and published by Larian Studios. A sequel to 2014’s Divinity: Original Sin, it lets you travel across its world with your lover while fending off monsters and satisfy that adventurous side that you both have been suppressing because of this quarantine.

Stardew Valley

Have you and your lover wished to live a simple life in the future, just you and him in a farm and escaping the daily hassles of the city? This game allows you to simulate that wish and takes you on several activities such as growing crops, raising livestock, crafting goods, mining for ores, selling produce, and socializing with the townsfolk, including marriage and having children. It’s a good way to give you both an idea of how you want to spend your lives together.

Minecraft

Wanting to express your creative side and just make your own world with your “bar”? In Minecraft, players explore a blocky, procedurally-generated 3D world, and may discover and extract raw materials, craft tools, and build structures or earthworks. Depending on the game mode, you can fight computer-controlled “mobs”, as well as either cooperate with or compete against other players in the same world. It has two modes: survival mode for gathering resources, building a world, and maintaining health; and a creative mode where players have unlimited resources.

Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime

Are you both into quirky bright-colored games or just a huge Bruce Cockburn fan? Love in a Dangerous Spacetime is a space shooter game that lets players pilot a spaceship with a variety of stations inside. These stations control the ship’s weapons, engine, shield, Yamato cannon, and map. Each player controls only a single avatar, and thus must constantly move from station to station in order to balance and protect the ship from the enemies’ damaging attacks.

TowerFall Ascension

TowerFall is an archery combat arena game where players kill each other with arrows and head-stomps until only one player remains. Playing this game is a great way to show how synced you both are, most especially for competitive couples.

Gaming isn’t always for your bros. It can be intimate and fun just like on a date. It lets you both bond and learn how to communicate better through solving problems. As a tech geek, I believe that gaming is a great way to show your love. It may take a lot of convincing if your other half is not interested but there’s no harm in trying. Have you tried playing with your significant other? How was your experience? Let us know in the comments below.
