New Ragnarok Games Ignite Southeast Asia’s Gaming Scene!

Global gaming powerhouse Gravity is set to supercharge its Ragnarok IP in Southeast Asia with a four-title expansion in the first half of 2025. This strategic move aims to cement the franchise’s dominance in the region, building on the enormous success of both the original PC online classic, Ragnarok Online, and the wildly popular mobile MMORPG, Ragnarok M: Eternal Love. With its deep roots in the Southeast Asian market dating back to 2003, Gravity is now rolling out four distinct new titles that promise to offer unique gameplay experiences to an ever-growing fanbase.

First up is Ragnarok M: Classic, which launched on February 14 and is already capturing the attention of players with its nostalgic appeal. The game emphasizes a self-sufficient playstyle where users rely solely on in-game currency—Zeny—to upgrade their gear. Players can enjoy round-the-clock rewards through automatic hunting, even when offline, and benefit from a free monthly pass loaded with 17 exclusive perks. Early performance in the market has been impressive, with the game topping the Apple App Store charts in Thailand, the Philippines, and Malaysia.

Gravity isn’t stopping there. The company also introduced Ragnarok Idle Adventure Plus, a vertical idle RPG that made its global debut on February 20. With its modern graphics and intuitive UI, the game lets players grow their characters and earn resources even while offline. Featuring multiple job groups, a team composition system, and various dungeons and seasonal events, this title has already made a splash in international markets, ranking highly on both Apple App Store and Google Play across several regions.

For fans of a deeper, more immersive narrative, Ragnarok V: Returns is poised to deliver a multi-platform MMORPG experience. As the official sequel to Ragnarok Valkyrie Uprising, this title will introduce players to a charming yet expansive world filled with rich storytelling, robust character customization, and innovative features like secure personal store setups and a dynamic pet system. The game is set to allow seamless play across both PC and mobile platforms, further broadening its appeal.

Rounding out the lineup is Ragnarok: Back to Glory, an upgraded 3D MMORPG that builds on the foundation of Ragnarok: Rebirth. Featuring next-generation 3D graphics, diverse gameplay modes, optimized tutorials, and a groundbreaking server exchange system, this title will connect players across Korea, Southeast Asia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau. This innovative feature promises seamless trading and social interaction, uniting fans from various regions in one vibrant online community.

Gravity’s business director, Kim Jin-hwan, expressed confidence in the new releases, emphasizing that each title has been crafted to offer a unique experience while collectively enhancing the Ragnarok legacy in Southeast Asia. With generous in-game benefits lined up for each title, fans can expect a multi-faceted gaming experience that caters to both nostalgia and modern gameplay innovations.
