Catch It Before It Grows! Dynamax Drilbur Arrives in Pokémon GO’s Groundbreaking Event!”

Pokémon GO players have something exciting to look forward to as Niantic is set to introduce Dynamax Drilbur in the “Simply Groundbreaking” event, running from November 15 to November 17, 2024. This addition is part of Season 16, which began in September and brought the popular Dynamax and Gigantamax Pokémon to the game after much anticipation. Over the past few months, players have seen many fan-favorite Dynamax forms, such as Wooloo, Skwovet, Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, and even Gastly, appearing through special events and raids. Now, Drilbur is the latest Pokémon to get the Dynamax treatment.

Event Details: Simply Groundbreaking
The Simply Groundbreaking event will begin on Friday, November 15, at 10 a.m. and end on Sunday, November 17, at 8 p.m. (local time). During this event, trainers can battle and catch Dynamax Drilbur in one-star Max Battles. If lucky, trainers might even find it in its shiny form! Once captured, Drilbur and its evolution, Excadrill, can be used in Dynamax form during these special battles.

New Pokémon: Dynamax Drilbur (available in one-star Max Battles)

Bonus: Trainers level 31 and above will have a double chance of earning Candy XL when catching Pokémon

New Field Research: Tasks that reward Drilbur encounters and Drilbur Candy

Wild Encounters: Pokémon such as Jigglypuff, Alolan Diglett, Phanpy, and Woobat will appear more often, and they may be shiny

During the event, trainers will see more of certain Ground-type Pokémon in the wild, including Drilbur itself. Special Field Research tasks will give players chances to earn Drilbur Candy and Candy XL, which are needed to evolve Drilbur into Excadrill, a powerful Ground/Steel-type Pokémon.
