One of the most popular first-person shooter games for PC is finally invading mobile. ActiVision announced the Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will be available globally on March 21, 2024, for both iOS and Android platforms.
This free-to-play battle royale experience throws players into intense online matches with up to 120 participants. Fans can revisit iconic Warzone maps like Verdansk and Rebirth Island, alongside familiar multiplayer maps such as Shipment, Scrapyard, and Shoot House.
Traditionalists rejoice! The game faithfully supports popular multiplayer modes like Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, and Domination on these maps.
For players already entrenched in the Call of Duty universe, the battlefield just got bigger. Existing accounts in Call of Duty: Warzone or Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) will enjoy shared progression and XP across all three titles, including weapon leveling and the Battle Pass.
ActiVision will offer controller support and extensive control customization options, allowing players to tailor the experience to their comfort level.
Behind the scenes, a collaborative effort from studios under ActiVision’s umbrella, including ActiVision Shanghai Studio, Beenox, Digital Legends, and Solid State Studios, have been developing the game.
