Head of Xbox Phil Spencer has detailed the specs and features of their upcoming console, the Xbox Series X. According to the post, the Xbox Series X will come with custom-designed AMD Zen 2 CPU, which is the same architecture of AMD's current 3000-series Ryzen chips. For storage, the Xbox Series X will come with (presumably) a PCIe Gen 4 SSD for faster load times. The Xbox Series X will also come with an HDMI 2.1 port to accommodate the features that the hardware can deliver. As for compatibility, the Xbox Series X is compatible with four generations - all the way up to the original Xbox. After a year-long wait, Xbox Series X|S players will finally get their hands on the critically acclaimed action RPG Black Myth: Wukong on August 20, 2025.
