Today at CES 2018, gaming hardware company Razer has announced a partnership with lighting giant Philips, for integration of the Philips Hue Entertainment API with the Razer Chroma lighting system. What this means, is that gamers will be able to sync color-capable Philips Hue smart lighting with Razer Chroma-enabled laptops and peripherals. “Razer Chroma is the world’s largest lighting ecosystem for gaming devices, and with Philips Hue, we are transforming the gaming experience in the home,” Razer CEO Min-Liang Tan said. For all of this to work, you will need a Philips Hue V2 bridge along with the latest software update, apart from the actual color-capable Philips Hue lights and your Razer Chroma gear. If you already have all the requirements to sync your Philips Hue lights with Razer Chroma, starting tomorrow, you will be able to add the Philips Hue functionality to the Razer Synapse 3 software.
