Originally a PS5 blockbuster, the game’s PC version will be available via Steam and the Epic Games Store, following Sony’s ongoing trend of bringing its top-tier exclusives to the PC platform. Developed by Insomniac Games, Spider-Man 2 sees both Peter Parker and Miles Morales teaming up against iconic villains, providing an action-packed web-swinging experience set in a sprawling open-world New York City. According to Mike Fitzgerald, Core Technology Director at Insomniac Games, players can expect enhanced graphical options, including advanced ray-tracing, ultra-widescreen support, and the ability to adjust various graphics settings to match different hardware capabilities. Alongside Spider-Man 2, games like Ghost of Tsushima and Horizon Zero Dawn have also made the leap to PC, helping Sony expand its player base beyond console gaming. Despite the excitement surrounding the port, Insomniac Games confirmed that no additional story content is planned for Spider-Man 2 on any platform, but players can look forward to replaying the game with all the improvements and customizations offered on PC. Alongside the announcement for Marvel's Spider-Man 2, Insomniac, Sony Interactive Entertainment and Marvel has revealed that they are bringing Marvel's Wolverine to PlayStation 5 consoles. According to the team, the goal here for the upcoming Wolverine game is to not only respect the DNA of what makes the character popular but to also look for opportunities to make it feel fresh while reflecting the Insomniac spirit.
