Facebook and Oculus have teamed up to create a Facebook Horizon, a multiplayer virtual reality world for the Oculus Quest and Rift platforms. Facebook Horizon VR platform that allows users to socialize with friends and others by building their own environments, games, or explore worlds created by others. With the introduction of Facebook Horizon, it has also been announced that Facebook Spaces and Oculus Rooms will be shut down by October 25. Facebook Horizon will also be launching an open beta in early 2020, with sign-ups now ongoing.
