Philippines’ Team SIBOL Clinches Victory in IESF World Esports Mobile Legends Competition

SIBOL, the esports team from the Philippines, triumphed at the 2023 IESF World Esports Championship, capturing the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang tournament title.

In an exciting best-of-five matchup against Indonesia, Team Philippines secured the majority of the $100,000 prize money. This victory marked the first time the national SIBOL team swept the competition, from the qualifying rounds to the Grand Finals, relegating Indonesia to second place.

The championship was held in Iași, Romania, and featured sixteen international Mobile Legends: Bang Bang teams competing in both lower and upper brackets for the coveted IESF MLBB championship. Saudi Arabia took the third place in the tournament, while Egypt finished fourth, highlighting their strong competition.
