KFC, the fast-food restaurant is offering finger-licking good fried chicken, is possibly making their own gaming console, the KFConsole.
Tweeted on their Gaming channel, KFC introduced the KFConsole, which they’re calling the future of gaming. From the short teaser video, we can see that the bucket of chicken-shaped console sports a Blu-ray player and a “Chicken Chamber,” which is an oven to keep your fried chicken hot. It promises to deliver True 4K capable of playing at 120FPS, and cross-platform compatibility.
While this may very well be a well-created parody, KFC Gaming did note a November 12, 2020 reveal date, just in time for the holiday season.
To make things seem even more real, KFC’s Brand Engagement Manager Josh Benge said, “At KFC we’ve been continually astounded by the gaming community’s amazing response to everything we’ve done, and we had to give back with something truly incredible. We wanted to give gamers the best gaming experience on the market, with the convenience of a home chicken supply, and so the KFConsole was born. We can’t wait to get into our fans’ hands later this year.”
It’s unclear whether KFC is actually releasing a gaming console or just wanted to poke light-hearted fun to Microsoft and Sony. We’ll have to wait for November 12 to find out.
