Final Fantasy VII Rebirth for PS5 unveiled

Square Enix has unveiled Final Fantasy VII Rebirth for the PS5 console, as well as the Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII – Reunion.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth continues the story of Final Fantasy VII Remake released in 2020. it’s the second part of the trilogy with one more game in the pipeline.

“Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is being designed so that people can enjoy this game whether they know the original game or not. In fact, new players might even enjoy starting their Final Fantasy VII journey with Final Fantasy VII Rebirth,” said Final Fantasy VII remake series Creative Director, Tetsuya Nomura.

“Cloud and his friends embark on a new journey in this game, and I believe that the scenes that they witness after leaving Midgar will give players a fresh, new experience. I can’t wait to share the intention behind naming the first title, “REMAKE,” and the second title, “REBIRTH.” In time, I hope to reveal what the third title will be called, and where this journey will ultimately lead.”

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is slated to launch “next Winter” for the PS5.

In addition to Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Square Enix also announced Crisis Core – Final Fantasy VII – Reunion, an HD remaster of the PSP-exclusive Crisis Core – Final Fantasy VII released in 2007.

The company said that it is a true remaster that follows the original story of SOLDIER 1st Class Zack Fair on his mission to find missing SOLDIER Genesis Rhapsodos, unraveling the stories of Cloud, Sephiroth, Aeith, Tifa, and more. It will launch this Winter on PlayStation 5, PlayStation4 (PS4), Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One consoles, PC & Nintendo Switch.

Square Enix also announced that Final Fantasy VII Remake Integrade will launch on June 17, 2022, on Steam with full Steam Deck compatibility. The enhanced and expanded version of the game includes an additional episode starring Yuffie, enhanced visuals capture mode, Classic Mode difficulty, and more.

To celebrate the launch, players can purchase the game at a 29% off discount via STeam from June 17, 2022, to June 23, 2022, at 10 a.m. Pacific Time.
