Alan Wake 2 vs Metal Gear Solid: which should you buy?
For a Filipino buyer, Metal Gear Solid is the definitive choice if you are hunting for the most affordable option, as it is a 1998 classic with minimum requirements of a Pentium II 266MHz CPU, 32 MB RAM, and 400 MB disk space, whereas Alan Wake 2 is a 2023 release on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. Alan Wake 2 is the superior pick for modern gamers seeking a current-day action experience with a 4.3 community rating, but it requires significantly newer hardware compared to the 1998-era specifications of Metal Gear Solid. If you have an older PC or are on a tight budget, Metal Gear Solid offers immediate playability on GOG or PlayStation, while Alan Wake 2 is only available via the Epic Games Store or PlayStation Store. Ultimately, choose Metal Gear Solid for retro nostalgia and low specs, or Alan Wake 2 for a contemporary narrative action title on modern consoles.
