PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds or PUBG, the survival shooter multiplayer online battle royale game that has emerged as the most popular PC game of the year, has just beaten its own record for most concurrent players. According to Valve’s game-selling platform, the game shattered its previous concurrent players record by twice its number, peaking at 3,106,358 on December 29, 2017.

According to developer PUBG Corp., the game has 30 million players across both PC and the newly released Xbox One version. By comparison, second place DotA 2 only had 700,000 concurrent users and had a maximum of 1.29 million players at one time.
