South Korean manhwa Tower of God (Sin-ui Tap) has recently received a mobile role-playing game (RPG) called Tower of God M: Great Journey. Released by NGELGAMES last April 20 via Android and iOS, it is the latest game to feature Tower of God since Hero Cantare in 2019. Preregistration for the game began in November of 2021.
The gameplay, suited for 2D fashion, involves a party battle mechanic accompanied by a gacha system. The pity level in Tower of God M may be reminiscent of Genshin Impact, as guaranteed rare drops can be acquired after 90 pulls.
While details for a global release are yet to be announced, another South Korean game developer called Netmarble is reportedly working on the RPG Tower of God: New World. The trailer for this game was released last January 28.
Besides getting adapted in games, Tower of God had an anime series (Kami no Tō) produced by Telecom Animation Film. It aired in Japan from April to June 2020. The manhwa, running on Naver since 2010, has registered over 4.5 billion views as of 2020. The story revolves around reaching the top of a mysterious tower, after which any kind of wish may be granted.
