Spotify becomes exclusive global audio service provider for LoL

Spotify has recently partnered with Riot Games to be the exclusive global audio service provider for League of Legends (LoL).

Under the partnership, Spotify has created an official hub for the game. Dubbed as League of Legends Esports Music Hub, subscribers may explore and play new and existing music, podcasts, and dedicated playlists for the MOBA game, including the official League of Legends and Road to Worlds 2020 playlists.

The music streaming service has also launched some podcast series, including the 9-episode series Untold Stories: Top Moments from Worlds. The series discusses the top players and anthems through game highlights of League of Legends World Championship, recorded interviews, game sound effects, and new interviews with key players.

Fans may also access the behind-the-scenes look at the creation of this year’s opening anthem of the World Championship Finals, Worlds Anthem, through the Worlds Anthem Takeover on Spotify.

Last year, Spotify launched the official League of Legends soundtrack with a record of 4.8 million listeners per month.
