Rovio has just announced on Twitter that the original Angry Birds game later renamed to “Rovio Classics: Angry Birds” will now be delisted from the Google Play Store this Thursday, February 23.

However, there is good news for those who still wish to play the original Angry Birds as they also stated that the game will remain playable on devices on which the game has been downloaded even after it has been delisted.

Rovio stated that the reason behind their decision to delist Angry Birds is “due to the game’s impact on our wider games portfolio.”

They also hope that fans of Angry Birds can continue to show love in their other games such as Angry Birds 2, Angry Birds Friends, and Angry Birds Journey.

To download the original Angry Birds before it gets delisted, you can head to Google’s Play Store.

It is also available on Apple’s App Store while being priced at USD 0.99 on both platforms.
