American cable network AMC and Finnish developer Next Games have announced, through a teaser trailer, that it will be releasing an augmented reality (AR) based mobile game based on the network’s popular show, The Walking Dead.
The game, titled The Walking Dead: Our World, will be a location-based AR adventure, similar to Niantic’s Pokémon Go. In the game, you will be able to fight zombies, or walkers as referred to in the TV show, both indoors and outdoors. The developers also seem to be implementing a sort of virtual partner system, as they said that you would be able to fight alongside your favorite characters such as Rick, Daryl, and Michonne.
The Walking Dead: Our World, is confirmed to be released for both iOS and Android devices, though there is no release date yet.
