TNT, the value brand of Smart Communications, Inc., has officially unveiled its professional esports team, Tropang Alab, marking their entry into the competitive world of Honor of Kings (HOK). The team will debut in the local qualifiers for HOK Invitational Season 3, scheduled for Dec. 13-15 and Dec. 20-22, 2024.

The Tropang Alab roster features a mix of seasoned veterans and emerging stars, including Midlaner Carlito “Ribo” Ribo, a former M2 World Champion in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB). Joining him are Clash Laner Carl Jioseppe “Calm” Lacsam, Jungler Mark Clinton “Fate” Pelayo, Farm Laner John “Jaycee” Christian, and Roamers Ronnel “Stronger” Tan and Charles Richard “Yato” Orlain. The team is led by Coach Jemvic “Mori” Pingol, whose expertise has already helped the team achieve remarkable success in various tournaments.

Since Honor of Kings officially launched in the Philippines in June, it has rapidly gained traction within the local esports scene. Teams like Tropang Alab are not only participating but excelling in the growing competitive circuit. TNT Group Head Lloyd Manaloto expressed his enthusiasm for the team’s debut, saying, “With Honor of Kings growing in popularity, TNT is proud to support the esports landscape by introducing Tropang Alab, showcasing our commitment to the gaming community, and empowering Filipino talent to shine globally.”

Tropang Alab’s name already carries weight in the competitive scene. The team has racked up victories in high-profile tournaments, including Rumble Royale (September 2024), Kings Ordeal Southeast Asia (October 2024), Blacklist Initiation (November 2024), and realme Regional Wars South Luzon (November 2024). These achievements have positioned them as a formidable force to watch in the upcoming HOK Invitational.

“We’re honored to officially represent TNT, a brand that believes in the talent and potential of Filipino mobile gamers. Our goal is to bring joy and inspiration to gamers everywhere by showcasing our skills and determination in this esports journey,” said Coach Pingol.

TNT’s support for Tropang Alab goes beyond competition, embodying values of camaraderie, brotherhood, and a fiery passion for gaming. With their iconic jerseys and dedication to excellence, Tropang Alab aims to ignite the local gaming community and prove that Filipino talent can dominate the global stage in Honor of Kings.
