Co-developed with Tencent’s Lightspeed Studios, known for PUBG Mobile, VALORANT Mobile is set to launch its closed beta in China on June 12, 2025. In addition to the game’s launch, Riot is also introducing VALORANT Mobile to the esports scene. The first official tournament, the China National Open, is scheduled for July 2025 in Qingdao, China. This event is part of a strategic partnership with smartphone manufacturer OnePlus, which will serve as the official hardware partner for VALORANT Mobile esports competitions. The OnePlus Ace 5 Pro smartphone will be the designated device for these events, highlighting the company’s focus on gaming performance.
To further engage the community, Riot has announced a Content Creators Tournament in China, running from June 23 to July 27, 2025. This four-week event features a $90,000 prize pool and involves popular Chinese streaming platforms like BiliBili, Douyin, Douyu, Kwai, and Huya. Each platform will host mini-tournaments to select teams, culminating in a grand final. Winners will have the opportunity to participate in a show match at the July tournament in Qingdao.
While VALORANT Mobile is currently available for pre-registration only in China, Riot has not yet announced a global release date. However, the game’s listing on the Chinese App Store suggests a possible release on November 25, 2025, though this date has not been officially confirmed.
