Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.1 Drops on February 26 with New Characters and Challenges

HoYoverse has officially announced that Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.1, titled “Light Slips the Gate, Shadow Greets the Throne,” will launch on February 26. This highly anticipated update will introduce new playable characters, exhilarating challenges, and an expanded storyline that takes players deeper into the game’s immersive universe.

The new update propels players further into the Flame-Chase Journey, where they must confront looming dangers and uncover the mysteries surrounding the catastrophe that has befallen the world. Version 3.1 introduces a brand-new map, Grove of Epiphany, a sacred city-state dedicated to Cerces, the Reason Titan. Once a beacon of knowledge and sanctuary for scholars, the Grove has fallen into chaos, with a powerful enemy threatening to seize Cerces’ Coreflame. Players will be tasked with saving survivors, unraveling secrets, and reclaiming the Coreflame to restore balance.

Two New Playable 5-Star Characters: Tribbie and Mydei

Version 3.1 will welcome two new powerful 5-star characters: Tribbie and Mydei, each bringing a unique combat style and lore-driven background to the battlefield.

• Tribbie, the Holy Maiden of “Janusopolis,” is a Quantum character following the Path of Harmony. As the first demigod of Amphoreus, she possesses the ability to deploy a special zone that increases enemy damage intake while executing frequent Follow-up Attacks. Her strategic buffs make her an invaluable support character, enhancing the offensive potential of her allies.

• Mydei, the crown prince of Castrum Kremnos, follows the Path of Destruction and wields Imaginary energy to devastate foes. His undying resilience allows him to consume HP to enter an enhanced battle form, where he automatically attacks enemies during his turn with immense power. His high HP pool and brutal offensive capabilities make him a formidable force on the battlefield.

Additionally, players can look forward to the return of Yunli and Huohuo in the first and second halves of the Version 3.1 warp event, offering another opportunity to obtain these coveted 5-star characters.

New Storylines and Game Modes

In the latest Trailblaze Mission, players will embark on a journey to unravel the past and explore the hidden truths of the “Era Chrysea.” The storyline will introduce Abyss of Fate, formerly known as Janusopolis, where players will piece together the forgotten history of Tribbie and the mysterious prophecy of Deliverance.

Version 3.1 will also introduce the Divergent Universe season, bringing an innovative Day and Night combat system. The battle state will shift dynamically between day and night, with each phase providing unique combat boosts. Transitioning between these states will trigger additional effects, offering players new strategic depth in battles. This mechanic is closely tied to Titans and Chrysos Heirs, further enriching the game’s lore.

Apart from its main storyline, Honkai: Star Rail 3.1 will feature fresh in-game events, including The Awooo Firm, where players will manage a Chimera squad in Okhema, helping them rise to become an elite force. By taking on the role of manager, players will provide crucial guidance, enhancing the squad’s abilities and leading them to victory.

Since its launch, Honkai: Star Rail has surpassed 150 million downloads across PC, iOS, Android, Epic Games Store, and PS5. The game has received multiple accolades, including Apple’s App Store iPhone Game of the Year, Google Play’s Best Game, and The Game Awards’ Best Mobile Game in 2023.
