Sony has just recently had its Future of Gaming event, where it unveiled its much-awaited PlayStation 5 design and exclusive titles coming to the platform.
With over 25+ titles presented, iPrice Group, an online shopping startup, has created a study based on Google’s search volume data. Out of all the games, Horizon Forbidden West was the most attention-grabbing title of all, taking 25% of the total search volume from Google out of all the exclusive PlayStation 5 games. Taking the second spot is SpiderMan: Miles Morales, who took up 18% of the total search volume, and Demon’s Souls, which amounted to 12% of the total search volume. Interestingly, after the top 7 most searched games, the rest of the exclusives took only 19% of Google’s search volume.
When looking at third-party titles, Resident Evil 8: Village took an astounding lead, garnering 55% of the total search volume from Google. This is followed closely by Hitman 3 and Pragmata, who took 11% each, and Little Devil Inside which took up 10% of the total search volume. Do note, however, that these titles will also be available on other platforms such as PC and the Xbox Series X. Hence, iPrice does not attribute its search volume purely based on Sony’s Future of Gaming event.
