Marvel Games has just announced “Marvel Rivals,” a new 6v6 hero shooter game combining the excitement of Marvel action games, like Ultimate Alliance, with the strategic, team-based gameplay found in titles like Overwatch and Valorant.
In the game, players can form teams from a diverse cast of characters from the Avengers, X-Men, Guardians, and beyond, totaling 16 characters at launch, including Black Panther, Storm, and Magneto. Developed by NetEase, the game will be available on PC for free and will feature a continuously expanding roster with each seasonal update.

“Marvel Rivals” presents itself with destructible environments and unique character abilities, including special moves and ultimate attacks. One of the game’s highlights is the introduction of team-up skills, allowing two heroes to combine their powers for powerful duo attacks, such as the Hulk amplifying Iron Man’s laser attacks or Rocket Raccoon teaming up with Groot in a nod to their cinematic escapades.
