Konami has announced at Gamescom 2016 their upcoming game and the latest in the Metal Gear franchise – Metal Gear Survive.
Metal Gear Survive is Konami’s first Metal Gear game without Hideo Kojima. The story takes place after the events of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. Survivors of the Militaires Sans Frontières gets teleported into an alternate universe where they have to battle biological threats. Watch the trailer below:
Konami has also revealed Metal Gear Survive is “built for four-player co-op play, and will have players using brand new weaponry to fight off enemies.” Like MGSV, it will be powered by FOX Engine.
Metal Gear Survive will arrive for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC in 2017.
