PUBG Lite to shut down globally on April 29

Krafton has announced to shut down PUBG Lite globally effective April 29.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Lite or PUBG Lite, a low-end version of the battle royale game PUBG, is officially closing down on the said date. Krafton has confirmed the news of the game’s shutdown through a notice on its official website.

“We are deeply grateful for the passion and support from the astounding number of PUBG LITE fans that have been with us. During the strenuous times of the COVID-19 pandemic, we hope that PUBG LITE was able to provide our fans a fun way to stay safe,” Krafton said in the release.

Krafton also mentioned that they had made the difficult decision to close the service after much deliberation.
