League of Legends: Wild Rift to begin alpha testing in the Philippines and Brazil

Riot Games has shared some updates regarding League of Legends: Wild Rift. The most awaited player versus player (PvP), role-playing (RPG) game is currently on the champion development stage. This means that the developers are now focusing on the design and movements of each character in the game.

The team clarified the appearance of a testing link where an Install button appeared on the game’s page in Google Play Store. However, the developers accidentally placed an option for an early access test which is currently non-existent. There were also reports about receiving push notifications for the game’s availability. As of this writing, the game is not yet available.

Users who encountered the error will need to pre-register on this link for the alpha testing. Riot Games also announced that it will be raising the required device specs for the alpha testing that will be limited to the Philippines and Brazil. More details will be shared at the end of May 2020.

For greater gameplay experience, the developers also increased the supported specifications of the League of Legends: Wild Rift. Android phones should have at least 1.5GB of RAM and equip with at least a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor and Adreno 306 GPU. Riot Games is also working to support 32-bit Android processors.

Meanwhile, iPhone 6 users and above may soon play the Wild Rift which is a little higher than what Riot Games previously announced. The developers also ensure people that their team is finding ways to optimize the game as many devices as it can.

Since the game brings in the same heroes of League of Legends (LoL), design lead Brian Feeney shared last month that the team will keep the same control to some heroes in its PC version. This gives familiarity to daily players of LoL once they switch to other platforms. However, some abilities are tweaked to comply with the mobile and console platforms.
