Animal Crossing: New Horizons gets a new update on to make way for the upcoming Halloween celebration complete with costumes, character customization options, DIY projects, and festivities.
With the new update, players may enjoy the following new features and in-game events starting September 30:
Growing Pumpkins
Players may decorate their home and island with autumn-themed items by purchasing pumpkin from Leif year-round or Nook’s Cranny by October. These can be harvested and put to use in pumpkin-based DIY projects.
Prepare for Halloween
With Halloween fast-approaching, players are given the chance to prepare for the festivities. Stock up on candy, make sure to visit Able Sisters as they will be featuring different costumes for you to choose, exchange your Nook Miles for body paint and colored eye contacts, and drop by your neighbor’s pad to get Halloween-themed DIY projects. On the night of Halloween, your neighbors will be getting into the spirit with their costumes of their own.
Halloween Night Celebration
On October 31, 5:00PM, all residents of your island can be found at the Plaza with an array of Halloween decorations. Alongside them is a mysterious guest, Jack, the “czar of Halloween”. Interact with Jack and give him lollipops and candy in exchange for in-game rewards. You can learn a couple of new Reactions to properly express your feelings of fear.
Revisiting Dreams
Taking a nap and visiting other islands within dreams was introduced during the update last Summer. Now, you can easily revisit dreams from a list, making it easier to visit some of your favorite islands.
NookLink App Update
The NookLink Service in the Nintendo Switch Online smartphone app is also receiving an update in early October. With the update, you’ll be able to use your smart device to perform Reactions in the game.
The next update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons will be coming late in November. For more details on that, make sure to stay tuned to our page for more information.
