Activision has confirmed that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone will usher in Season 4 on Thursday, May 29, promising a fresh wave of maps, weapons, and the return of fan-favorite operator Stitch. The announcement follows a cryptic “Season 3 Outro” cinematic released May 15, in which Russell Adler orchestrates a daring jailbreak to free Vikhor “Stitch” Kuzmin from Iceland’s high-security Camp Zeta.
As Season 4 arrives, players can expect major shakeups across both Black Ops 6 multiplayer and Warzone battle royale. Multiplayer fans will enjoy the debut of two new medium-sized maps—codenamed Frostbite and Sunrise—designed for 6v6 skirmishes with vertical combat elements. Meanwhile, Warzone’s Verdansk II island will see the introduction of a high-tech train system for rapid rotations, plus a “Requisition Drop” event mode that supplies squads with rare weapons mid-match.
Veteran weapons will also return in style: leaker reports suggest the M16 assault rifle and Koshka sniper rifle will be added to the arsenal alongside new seasonal gear like the Stellar SMG and Arc Flash Launcher, a prototype energy weapon that fires rapid electric bolts. Season 4’s Battle Pass will include over 100 tiers of unlocks, featuring themed operator skins, weapon blueprints, calling cards, and finishers inspired by Cold War–era espionage.
Before the new season launches, the High Art Event runs through May 22. Players who rack up XP can claim rewards on the free track—such as double-XP tokens and weapon charm packs—while premium pass holders (1,100 COD Points) earn bonus emblems, VFX camos, and a unique “Abstract Assault” animated weapon skin. Activision notes that any remaining Event Pass tiers will carry over into Season 4, giving conscientious grinders a head start in the new meta.
The return of Stitch himself is perhaps Season 4’s biggest draw. Originally introduced in Black Ops Cold War, Stitch’s blend of close-quarters brutality and hacker skills made him a community favorite. According to the teaser, players will unlock him early in the Battle Pass, complete with his iconic chainsword and a new digital ghillie suit for stealth gameplay.
Call of Duty content creators have already started speculating on the impact of Season 4. Top Warzone streamer FaZe Swagg hinted on social media that the train system could revolutionize endgame strategy, while YouTuber Drift0r teased a deep-dive video on the returning weapons’ recoil patterns. With content creators and pro players gearing up, May 29 is shaping up to be one of the busiest drop days of the year.
