Fans of CM Punk have something to look forward to in WWE 2K24. According to a recent discovery, more versions of the iconic Straight Edge Superstar could be arriving in the game. CM Punk’s return to the WWE games, after years of absence, had already made waves, but now it seems even more variations of the polarizing wrestler are in the pipeline, exciting longtime supporters.
CM Punk re-entered the WWE 2K series as part of the ECW Punk Pack, a DLC included in the game’s Season Pass. This pack not only featured Punk but also other legends from WWE’s ECW days, such as the Dudley Boyz, the Sandman, and Terry Funk. While most fans remember Punk’s WWE debut on the revamped ECW brand in 2006, his in-game model was based on his current look. However, Punk’s earlier personas—just as memorable to many fans—are now set to make an appearance.
Popular WWE 2K content creator WhatsTheStatus recently found a leak that hints at three new CM Punk models coming to the game’s MyFaction mode. The models are CM Punk ’10, CM Punk from his Straight Edge Society (S.E.S.) days, and a masked version of Punk. Each of these models offers a fresh take on the wrestler, giving players a chance to relive different phases of his storied career. Alongside these models, Punk’s former entrance theme “This Fire Burns” by Killswitch Engage has also been added to the game as both entrance music and a track for the Jukebox feature.
The inclusion of multiple CM Punk models is a treat for fans, especially those who followed his rise through WWE during different stages of his career. From his rebellious S.E.S. days to his masked persona, these variations will give players more options to experience Punk’s evolution over the years.
This news comes as WWE 2K24 continues to expand its roster with unique and alternative versions of beloved Superstars. While these new Punk models seem to be tied to MyFaction—a mode that has received some criticism for its grind-heavy nature—fans are nonetheless excited about the possibility of unlocking these special editions of Punk.
In addition to CM Punk’s various looks, other legendary wrestlers are also set to receive new models. WhatsTheStatus’ leak revealed upcoming MyFaction additions such as Booker T ’01, King Booker, and a new Rhea Ripley model inspired by her look from Crown Jewel. Fans of Bray Wyatt are also in for a treat, as new versions of the late Superstar are set to appear in the game, adding even more diversity to an already stacked roster.
WWE 2K24 has been lauded for its impressive roster, and this year’s version might boast the most varied lineup in the franchise’s history. Fans are hopeful that 2K will continue to offer alternate costumes and attires for popular wrestlers, a feature that has been widely requested by the community since the early days of the series.
