CM Punk re-entered the WWE 2K series as part of the ECW Punk Pack, a DLC included in the game’s Season Pass. This pack not only featured Punk but also other legends from WWE’s ECW days, such as the Dudley Boyz, the Sandman, and Terry Funk. While most fans remember Punk’s WWE debut on the revamped ECW brand in 2006, his in-game model was based on his current look. However, Punk’s earlier personas—just as memorable to many fans—are now set to make an appearance.
Popular WWE 2K content creator WhatsTheStatus recently found a leak that hints at three new CM Punk models coming to the game’s MyFaction mode. The models are CM Punk ’10, CM Punk from his Straight Edge Society (S.E.S.) days, and a masked version of Punk. Each of these models offers a fresh take on the wrestler, giving players a chance to relive different phases of his storied career. Alongside these models, Punk’s former entrance theme “This Fire Burns” by Killswitch Engage has also been added to the game as both entrance music and a track for the Jukebox feature.
The inclusion of multiple CM Punk models is a treat for fans, especially those who followed his rise through WWE during different stages of his career. From his rebellious S.E.S. days to his masked persona, these variations will give players more options to experience Punk’s evolution over the years.
