In a dazzling reveal during the grand finals of VCT Masters: Bangkok, Riot Games has introduced Waylay, a stunning new agent hailing from Thailand, set to light up Season 2025 // Act II. Waylay isn’t just another agent—she literally transforms into light, using her prismatic abilities to dash across the battlefield, shatter enemy defenses with radiant shards, and retreat in a blink. Her arrival is already stirring excitement among competitive players and fans alike, promising to add a fresh, dynamic edge to the game.
Waylay’s kit is built around speed, evasion, and disruption. One of her signature abilities, Refract, lets her instantly generate a beacon of light on the ground. By reactivating the ability, she can rapidly return to the beacon as a mote of pure light, rendering her invulnerable during transit. Her Light Speed ability further ramps up the action by allowing her to execute multiple dashes, with the initial burst even propelling her upward. In addition, Saturate lets her throw a cluster of light that explodes on impact, slowing down nearby opponents, while Convergent Paths creates a temporary afterimage that projects a debilitating beam of light, eventually granting her a potent speed boost and hindering enemy movements.
But that’s not all—Season 2025 // Act II isn’t just about new agents. VALORANT is also launching the Cyrax collection, a set of melee skins infused with starforged crystal designs, including editions like Vandal, Ghost, Guardian, Stinger, and Fanblade.
