What’s Up for Grabs?

The winning VALORANT team will score Php 250,000 in cash, and all team members will get a full-semester scholarship. On top of that, the grand finals MVP will take home an extra Php 20,000. The runner-up won’t go empty-handed either—they’ll receive Php 100,000, while the champion’s and runner-up’s campus Esports organizations will pocket Php 80,000 and Php 50,000, respectively.

All members of the champion team will also be recognized as “EE-Scholar Agents,” combining their Esports success with academic scholarships.

The action kicks off in October with regional qualifiers in Metro Manila, followed by Luzon in November, and Visayas and Mindanao in January 2025. The inter-regional playoffs and Nationals Grand Finals will be held in February 2025, where the best student gamers in the country will compete for glory.

Riot’s Push for Student Esports

Jason Roberto, Brand Manager for VALORANT at Riot Games Philippines, highlighted the company’s commitment to developing young gaming talent. “Investing in the grassroots competitive gaming scene is one of the many initiatives we’re taking to discover, hone, and nurture the next generation of VALORANT talents,” he explained.

He pointed out that students are among the most active gamers in the country, and by focusing on collegiate Esports, they’re helping to unlock that potential. “Championing Esports at the collegiate level enables us to empower the young minds and talents of this generation,” Roberto added.

He also touched on the common criticisms young gamers face. “We want them to see that remarks like ‘kaka-computer mo ‘yan’ or ‘kaka-VALORANT mo ‘yan’ can actually lead to something positive—like financial rewards and even scholarships to support their education,” he said.

The Estudyante Esports Campus League is shaping up to be a milestone event for student Esports in the Philippines, offering players not only a chance to compete but also to gain academic support. Stay tuned for more updates by following VALORANT on Facebook and Instagram.
