Laptops nowadays don’t have to break the wallet to be considered as proper gaming machines. There are gaming laptops and there are laptops that can game. As long as it has the specs to do so, you don’t really need the bells and whistles. So, what are the top budget laptops for gaming? Let’s find out!
Author’s Note: Laptops are arranged from lowest to highest price and range from 40-50k. Stores listed doesn’t mean they’re the only ones that have the unit.
Before we begin I’d like to point out that most of these laptops aren’t built for heavy gaming, both in specs and in construction. Still, don’t be discouraged as most will be able to handle casual to mid gaming and even some Triple A titles. Especially those equipped with the GTX 1050.
For reference, all of the mentioned laptops below can easily play games like League of Legends, Dota 2, Overwatch, and Fortnite at 60fps in medium to high in Full HD. PUBG will be a slight hit and miss for some of the systems. While the GTX 1050’s can play the game you’d have to dial down the resolution or graphics to hit 60fps. The MX150, on the other hand, will struggle to provide smooth gameplay but it can hit 30fps, which is considered playable.
These machines aren’t just for gaming though, as they can also do some light to medium photo editing and a bit of video editing. So content creators on a budget may also check them out.

There you have it! They may not be gaming monsters but most of those in the list can at least play Triple-A games at low to medium. We do recommend that you upgrade the RAM in these bad boys to at least 8GB for smoother performance. If we missed any models, do hit us up in the comments section below.

this is not qualified for the list, because it’s below 40k but has the same spec as the cheapest item: http://villman.com/Product-Detail/Acer_E5-576G_i5-8250U

Actually, it does fit the bill, thanks for spotting this!:)

How come the Mi Notebook Pro is not on this list? Even if it was only i5, the SSD in the Mi Notebook Pro will trump any laptop on this list.

Thank you for the heads up! We’ve added it to the list.;)

Hi Dukha!
For this it may be better to go for the Xiaomi Mi Notebook pro, you can never go wrong with the added SSD and the already respectable hardware.:)

Thank you, Sir. I am a fan of this site.

I second the motion for Zen. Disclaimer: I own a Mi Notebook Pro. Once you go SSD, there’s no going back.

Hi! I am an engineering student and we are supposed to have a CAD course this coming semester. It would be a great if you could recommend a laptop that I can use. I’m on a tight budget actually, perhaps around 45-55k. Thanks! I’m hoping for your response.

Hi! do you guys have a latest list that’s still under 50k for late 2018-2019.
I plan to use it for slight gaming like LoL and mostly for productivity, homebased work(Appen) and college school work. Thanks!
