Billet Labs has taken custom gaming PCs to a whole new level with their latest creation: a gaming rig that looks strikingly like a toaster. While crafting powerful, stylish PCs is a challenge on its own, Billet Labs decided to up the ante by creating a compact, toaster-inspired PC that’s as much a conversation piece as it is a high-performance machine.
While themed PCs aren’t exactly rare—recent months have seen custom rigs inspired by games like Starfield and The Last of Us—the toaster theme is definitely a fresh take. And while it may look like something you’d find in a kitchen, the Toaster PC houses some seriously impressive specs that make it a powerhouse in disguise. The 13-liter case may resemble an appliance, but it’s packed with top-tier components that allow it to run games at incredibly high settings.
Billet Labs shared the project on Reddit after documenting the build process on YouTube. Despite the whimsical appearance, the Toaster doesn’t actually make toast (unfortunately), but it does manage to run games with more power than many rigs that look far more traditional. One of its standout features is the RTX 4090 GPU, which is known for delivering some of the best graphics performance available.
The Toaster PC Specs:
According to Billet Labs, the entire build took around 150 hours of work and cost more than $5,000 in parts. This price tag reflects the high-end components, including the RTX 4090 GPU, which alone costs nearly $2,000. The two solid-state drives and the i9-14900K CPU are also significant contributors to the overall cost. However, Billet Labs mentioned that the lucky customer who purchased the rig got a great deal due to the project’s promotion for content creation.
Cooling such powerful components inside a small form factor is no easy feat. Billet Labs went above and beyond by designing custom water-cooling pipes to ensure the Toaster stays cool, no matter how hard it works. Despite its unorthodox design, the Toaster is a shining example of engineering brilliance—just don’t expect it to serve you breakfast anytime soon.
For those wishing for a true kitchen-appliance-PC hybrid, the KFC gaming console, which promised to warm up chicken, might’ve been the better option. But for those who appreciate creative engineering, the Toaster PC is a win.
