In an astonishing display of skill and determination, Elden Ring streamer Ainrun has achieved what many would consider impossible—completing the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion with only 1 HP, 1 FP, and 1 Stamina. This feat took dozens of hours and hundreds of attempts, as the DLC is known for featuring some of FromSoftware’s toughest boss battles yet. But despite the grueling difficulty, Ainrun triumphed, earning admiration from the Elden Ring community.

Released in the summer of 2024, Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree has continued to generate buzz months after its debut. FromSoftware has a reputation for delivering tough but rewarding experiences, and this expansion adds even more complexity to the sprawling world of Elden Ring. The DLC introduced new storylines, weapons, and some of the most difficult boss fights ever created by the developers, with players still coming up with creative ways to overcome its brutal challenges.

Radan

Ainrun’s incredible run was announced on social media, where the streamer revealed the final moments of their “World’s First 1HP/1FP/1Stamina Run.” The achievement is even more remarkable considering the intense difficulty of the Shadow of the Erdtree bosses. One of the most challenging battles was against Radahn, a notorious foe in the DLC, which took Ainrun over 20 hours and 900 attempts to conquer. Many players have compared Radahn to other infamous FromSoftware bosses like Malenia from the base game, Bloodborne’s Orphan of Kos, and Isshin from Sekiro—all notorious for their near-impossible difficulty.

Ainrun’s Brutal 1HP Run Takes Over 50 Hours to Complete

The full Shadow of the Erdtree challenge took Ainrun approximately 55 hours, with Radahn being the most grueling obstacle along the way. In the wake of the DLC’s release, fans expressed mixed feelings about the spike in difficulty, but the expansion still received praise for the depth it added to Elden Ring. In Ainrun’s words, “The 1 HP wasn’t as bad as I’m used to no-hit runs, but the 1 Stamina was the hardest part. You can’t spam rolls or chain attacks—every action depletes stamina and you have to wait a full second before making another move.” The challenge required flawless movement, perfect parries, and an incredible amount of patience.
