Ragnarok M: Eternal Love fast leveling tips

Now that Gravity’s Ragnarok M: Eternal Love (SEA) is on its Open Beta Testing phase, I’ve decided to give it a try since the Ragnarok franchise has been one of my favorite MMORPGs ever since I was a kid. If you are a beginner and are starting from square one, the game may seem a bit confusing due to the high number of things that you can do. Here are basic tips on how you can maximize leveling up your characters without spending a single dime. Check it out!

Questing

This is probably the most obvious tip amongst those in this guide. Story and side quests are scattered all over different parts of the map, especially in towns and cities. However, I suggest that you shouldn’t binge-quest all the way as there’s a more important game mechanic that comes into play in this game.

Saint equipment

The Fantasy Circus Generators contain gacha headgear, equipment, and cards that are good for beginners who don’t have high-powered weapons and armors yet. Aside from the powerful stats that each piece of equipment provides, there’s also an increase in Base EXP gain. You can find the generators near the South Gate of Prontera.

While technically these are premium items (you’ll need to buy cash shop currency to pull), the game is currently handing out free tickets to celebrate it’s Open Beta launch. So in the meantime, it’s still considered as a free method. Each gacha roll for the equipments require 10 pink tickets while the headgears cost 30 blue tickets.

You can get at least 30 pink tickets if you pre-registered by talking to Miu (found in the balcony near Prontera’s lower central area) while more than 30 blue tickets will be provided (will only last until December 1, 2018) by speaking to Tylin (found in the upper central area) and availing the Adventurer Bag reward daily for 5 days.

Monster Resistance Quest

The “Monster Resistance” quest provides 10x your normal exp gain when killing monsters per day. Yes, you read that correctly, you can take this “quest” when you reach level 22. The Messenger Monster Watcher NPC will be present in each main town that you visit so you don’t have to worry about finding him. The catch, however, is that there’s an exp threshold of the increased exp rate that the player can receive during the quest.

Note: The quest can be stackable up to 6 times which means users can stack up to three days worth of exp threshold.

Grinding

This is arguably the most essential system in the game. Grinding monsters will take a lot of time but thanks to the Auto-Attack mechanic, that won’t be much of a problem. The catch, however, is that in order to prevent players from abusing grinding, Gravity implemented a Combat Time system. This system lets users receive normal exp and loot gain under a given time limit of combat. Reaching the limit and going beyond it will activate the system called Combat Fatigue which will gradually decrease the exp and loot rate over time on each character. Here are the rules:

  • When the specified daily combat limit is exceeded, the experience and loot rate will begin to decrease.
  • The combat duration is restored to 300 minutes at 5:00 AM (GMT +7) daily, and the unused combat duration can be accumulated up to a max of 600 minutes. (Maximum total: 900 min).
  • PVP is not included in the combat duration. MINI and MVP are not affected by the rules of loot reduction.
  • If you are in a team during the reduction period, you alone will be bound by the rules of reduction and your Party member will not be affected.
  • If you and your Party members are on the same map, the combat duration will be shared with all Party members in the map.
  • The Mentor who holds a valid Premium can earn 30% of the effective combat duration from different students, up to a maximum of 120 minutes of effective combat duration per day.

Reaching Combat Fatigue is a huge bummer for us players but, we can retrieve some of our Combat time just by listening to the Music Box located at the South Gate of Prontera. To activate it, just press the music box to open the track list. Activating the song will require you to stay in the area where you can hear the music. A maximum of 60 minutes can be recovered which should be plenty enough to grind once more before the day ends.

Note: Anyone can put in a song which can also be heard by everyone in the same area and channel.

Tip: I would rather exhaust my Combat Time first before doing any story-based and side quests, this is because the exp gain from quests isn’t affected by combat fatigue.

Lightning Chain

Lightning Chains are one of the essential boosting items in the game. Using this will amplify your EXP and loot gain as long as you don’t reach Combat Fatigue. You can purchase this in the Event Items shop, just under Miu’s position in Prontera, or acquire it by participating in event quests and rewards.

Tip: Use Lightning Chain when you decide to do the Monster Resistance quest to maximize the exp gain of your character.

Mission Board

Last, but not the least, is the Mission Board which gives tons of EXP. Players can get any posted quests in the board but they can only take up to 10 per day. Again, due to the Open Beta celebration, there are currently board quests that give out twice their normal rewards.

To give you a glimpse, here’s the order of how I do things daily:

  • Grinding (farming for materials) + Lightning Chain (Exhaust Combat Time)
  • Listen to Music Box
  • Grinding
  • Mission Board
  • Monster Resistance Quest
  • Questing

Updated as of 11/05/18.

Important Notes:

  • Daily reset happens every 5:00 AM (GMT +7)
  • Combat Time refreshes 300 minutes daily
  • Mission Board refreshes both in the morning and the afternoon
  • Monster Resistance can be taken up to 2 times daily
  • A lot of combinations can be made to suit your leveling routines so don’t be afraid to experiment to fit your taste.

And that’s it! I hope this boosts your leveling and grinding knowledge in the game. If you have more tips, tricks, and suggestions, leave them in the comments section below. See you in the game!

    1. Di mo kailangan ubusin green stamina to use monster resistance
    2. Monster resistance operates independently with Lightning chain. Lightning Chain doubles your XP in two ticks as if you killed two monsters at the same time. Monster resistance multiplies only the original XP (first tick). So kunwari Eggyra with 500 xp. First tick will be 5000 and the second will be 500. Without lightning Chain you get 5000 anyway.
    3. Monster resistance gives bulk xp gain. Nauubos ito so it doesnt matter if you take 1 hr or 5 hrs to finish the monster resistance quest, same lang ang bonus XP mo.
    4. pag maglelevelup ka pa, postpone mo muna monster resistance para lumaki ung bulk xp na maximum threshold. lalo for low level characters, you will get a LOT of xp from quests (Geffen and up especially). After mo mag level up saka ka mag MR and grind. if you’re grinding lang and not questing, do MR whenever u like (except Red stamina kasi hindi mo matatapos ang MR quest).
    5. Pag mataas na level mo and you get 0 to 1 level per day, di mo na kailangan ipostpone ang monster resistance. Get it asap and ubusin lagi.
    6. If gagamitin mo stamina mo for Pet Adventures only, do the Monster Resistance quest after mo nalang maubos stamina mo

I wrote a guide about using Monster Resistance and posted it on reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/RagnarokMobile/comments/a3ljhe/monster_resistance_tips/

    I don’t know if i’m doing it right, i have Blacksmith(59) I do Lightning Chain+Monster Resistance+Grinding Coals(Steam Gobs).
And i do my monster resistance Every 3rd Day that means i stack it up to 6(which is the limit) then i’ll do it, then after Exhaustion i do my Quests,Rift,Board,Training Ground.
    Summary:
    Listen to Music

Grinding Coals from Steam Gobs(With Lightning Chain+Monster Resistance) until exhaustion

    Rifts

    Board Missions

    Training Grounds

    Endless Tower(once a week)

    Main/Side Quests

I also do this with my High Wizard (lvl78) although i farm for Mementos on mjolnir

Just want to ask sir if I should exhaust sir my combat time on grinding before doing the monster resistance?
Because you wrote there that we should use LC when doing MResistance to maximize the exp that we can get?
Going back how can we have a maximize exp when our combat time is on its limit?
LC paused when your combat time reach 300 right sir?
I’m asking this because not everyone can finish monster resistance without consuming a lot of combat time.
    Thank you sir.

What I do is Monster resistance w/ LC and then farm to exhaust CT and lastly board quest and main quest. It will normally take 1 Monster resistance quest mga 5-10 mins using SB type assassin. My char is now level 65 for 5 days playing.

  8. Avatar for Geo Geo says:

I think, it’s still depends on how many time are you available to play. like me, I can only play Ragnarok for 3 hours a day max, so what I did is I used LC and 10x MR at the same time then once MR ends, I will start rift and finish board quest. Right now I’m level 75 and did that in 1 and half weeks. down side I don’t have zeny yet just focus on leveling -_-

I think exhaust stamina first then monster resistance since my limit ung exp na gain sa monster resistance so useless ang lightbkng chain.

Bakit ang bilis bumaba ng SP ko ? Makakapatay ako ng mga 3 monsters lvl. 65 , mauubos kaagad sya .

naguguluhan talaga ako kung anong susundin .

Will it be okay if unahin ko yung 10x monster resistance + lightning chain for the first minute of my combat time ?

Hello ! Is it effective if i use lightning chain while doing 10x mobexp quest ? My character’s level is low so im thinking that using lightning chain in that quest will help gain exp.

Kainis tong tips na to. Ansabe exhaust daw muna ang stamin bago mag x10 exp sa messenger at at board ang nangyari hindi nagx10 ang EXP sa messenger. So the pattern should be STAMIN+x10 exp sa messenger umaabot ng 9k ang exp. Tinry ko yung sinabe mong i exhaust muna ang stamina saka x10 exp sa messenger 100-250exp lang bigay. Tsss -_-

Hi Sir, ito kasi yung way to maximize your exp grinding per day. Hindi maaffect ng combat fatigue yung quests and monster resistance so basically exp grind ka for 360 mins + Monster resistance + Quest Exp. Monster resistance kasi is only limited to the experience points stated and then mawawala na effect (basically, pangpabilis lang siya maggain ng limited amount of exp pts).

    • Avatar for RobynHood RobynHood says:

Hi, I think tama yung tips niya in terms of maximizing exp gain in a day. Exp grinding means getting the most exp in an instance, not just getting it quickly. Correct yung mabilis mo makuha yung exp sa monster resistance + lightning chain. But it also consumes your combat time, so basically (360mins minus time used up for monster resist). Diba better if 360mins exp grind (with or without LC) + exp gain from monster resist).

I believe this is the optimal way especially if marami kang time maglaro in a day.

      Just my opinion. 🙂

    • Avatar for Golteb Golteb says:

Ya. Oo nga its true pedeng pede to if you have lot of time to play. Pero sa mga walang oras mag laro ng buong araw better to do those things na Combat time + LC + Monster ressistance. H3h3

Effective pa rin ba yung lightning chain sa monster resistance kahit ubos na yung combat time?

    • Avatar for DBC DBC says:

Hindi eeffect yun. Basahin mo yung lightning chain description. Matatapos yung effect niya pag naubos ang combat time.
