Pokémon GO’s Road to Unova Event Brings Shiny Surprises & Epic Raids!

Trainers, get ready to embark on a new adventure as Pokémon GO announces the ‘Road to Unova’ event, set to kick off on February 24, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. local time. This event serves as a prelude to the much-anticipated Pokémon GO Tour: Unova, celebrating the region introduced in Pokémon Black and White.

Event Highlights:

• Duration: February 24, 10:00 a.m. to March 1, 10:00 a.m. local time.
• Wild Encounters: Keep an eye out for Unova’s starter Pokémon—Snivy, Tepig, and Oshawott—appearing more frequently in the wild. Their evolved forms, Servine, Pignite, and Dewott, might also make surprise appearances.
• Egg Hatches: During this event, 2 km Eggs will have increased chances of hatching Pokémon like Roggenrola, Timburr, Karrablast, Shelmet, and Larvesta, providing trainers with more opportunities to expand their collections.
• Raids:
  • One-Star Raids: Features the Unova starters—Snivy, Tepig, and Oshawott.
  • Three-Star Raids: Includes Druddigon, offering a chance to challenge and catch this Dragon-type Pokémon.
  • Five-Star Raids: From February 24 to 28, trainers can face various forms of Genesect, each equipped with a different Drive, altering its Techno Blast move type.
• Event Bonuses:
  • Egg Hatch Distance will be halved when Eggs are placed in Incubators during the event period, making it easier to hatch Eggs.
  • The Remote Raid Pass limit will be increased to 20 from February 24 to 28, allowing trainers to participate in more raids remotely.

Masterwork Research and Shiny Meloetta:

In a harmonious twist, Shiny Meloetta will make its Pokémon GO debut. Trainers can purchase a Masterwork Research ticket for $4.99, granting an encounter with this rare Shiny Mythical Pokémon. Tickets will be available starting February 24 at 10:00 a.m. local time.

Tour Pass and Tour Pass Deluxe:

To enhance the event experience, Niantic introduces the Tour Pass—a free, limited-time progression track available from February 24 to March 2. By collecting Tour Points, trainers can unlock rewards, increase their rank, and boost event bonuses. For those seeking additional perks, the Tour Pass Deluxe is available for purchase, offering exclusive rewards and benefits.
