Sony has officially unveiled the PlayStation 5 Pro, bringing several key upgrades to enhance the gaming experience from the base model. The new console boasts a more powerful GPU, featuring 67% more Compute Units and 28% faster memory, delivering up to 45% faster rendering speeds for smoother gameplay.
It also introduces advanced ray tracing for improved lighting and reflections, along with PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution, which uses AI upscaling to provide sharper image quality.
The PS5 Pro supports 8K gaming and Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), and offers backward compatibility for over 8,500 PS4 games, with the Game Boost feature improving performance on select titles.
The console comes with a 2TB SSD for faster storage and loading times, and will be available starting November 7, 2024, with a price tag of PHP 39,000 (approx.).
Pre-orders begin on September 26, 2024.
The console will be available at participating retailers and on PlayStation’s official site.
