Philippine Pro Gaming League 2019 with PHP 1.3 Million combined prize pool announced

MET Events, formerly known as Mineski Events Team, and Globe Telecom have announced the Philippine Pro Gaming League 2019 in the country.

The Philippine Pro Gaming League 2019 (PPGL) is the country’s multi-title esports competition. There will be four games included namely League of Legends, Arena of Valor, Rules of Survival, and Tekken 7.

“We would like Filipino gamers to experience an esports tournament like the PPGL to bring our competitive power and esports industry up to par with our powerhouse Asian neighbors,” – Jake San Diego, Globe Director for Games and eSports

The total prize pool for all of the games is PHP 1.3million. Here is the breakdown:

League of Legends

  • Qualifier 1: February 17, 2019
  • Qualifier 2: February 23, 2019
  • Qualifier 3: February 24, 2019
  • Qualifier 4: March 2, 2019
  • Group Stage A: March 9-10, 2019
  • Group Stage B: March 16-17, 2019
  • Grand Finals: April 6-7, 2019

Arena of Valor

  • Qualifier 1: March 8, 2019
  • Qualifier 2: March 15, 2019
  • Group Stage A: March 23, 2019
  • Group Stage B: March 24, 2019
  • Grand Finals: April 6-7, 2019

Rules of Survival

  • Qualifier 1: February 2, 2019
  • Qualifier 2: February 9, 2019
  • Grand Finals: February 16, 2019

Tekken 7

  • CDO Qualifier: February 2, 2019
  • Cebu Qualifier: February 16, 2019
  • Manila Qualifier: March 3, 2019
  • Grand Finals: April 6-7, 2019

The venue for the grand finals of PPGL 2019 is yet to be announced.
