With all these Pokémon GO events happening in the country, cheaters or those planning to cheat, may want to think twice as Niantic will permanently ban your account.
In Niantic’s FAQ page for Pokémon GO, user accounts will be permanently terminated if you violate the Pokémon GO Terms of Service. “This includes , but is not limited: falsifying your location, using emulators, modified or unofficial software and/or accessing Pokémon GO clients or backends in an unauthorized manner including through the use of third party software.”
In a separate page, Niantic also mentions the following as cheating: playing with multiple accounts (one account per player only); sharing accounts; or selling/trading accounts.
According to Niantic, they will enforce the Terms of Use as well as the guidelines. Violators may be issued a warning, be suspended from the game, or (for serious or repeated violations) get the account terminated.
The company promotes fair and quality game play, but in case an account has been terminated in error, players can submit an appeal.
