Necrozma Returns: Pokémon GO’s Epic Raid Day Is Coming!

December 14, 2024, is shaping up to be an unforgettable day for Pokémon GO trainers. Necrozma and its powerful fusions, Dusk Mane and Dawn Wings, are making a triumphant return for a special Raid Day event. This marks one of the first major highlights of the upcoming Dual Destiny season in Pokémon GO, giving trainers another chance to catch these legendary Alolan Pokémon and their unique fused forms.

The Raid Day runs from 2 PM to 5 PM local time, during which Necrozma’s fusions will appear more frequently in raids. Trainers who defeat Dusk Mane or Dawn Wings Necrozma will have the opportunity to capture them, with special bonuses available to enhance the experience. From December 13–14, players can take advantage of an increased Remote Raid Pass limit of 20 and earn up to five additional Raid Passes by spinning PokéStops. For those looking to maximize their rewards, a $5 event ticket will provide extra Raid Passes, XP, Stardust, and Candy XL, while an Ultra Box containing a Premium Battle Pass and event ticket will be available for $4.99 on the Pokémon GO Web Store.

What makes this event even more exciting is the Adventure Effects tied to the fusions. Dusk Mane Necrozma’s signature move, Sunsteel Strike, attracts daytime Pokémon such as Solrock, Helioptile, and Tyrunt, while Dawn Wings Necrozma’s Moongeist Beam draws nighttime Pokémon like Lunatone, Hoothoot, and Galarian Zigzagoon.

In addition, Niantic has revealed that trainers can fuse Necrozma with Solgaleo or Lunala using Solar and Lunar Fusion Energy, respectively. Both fusions require 1,000 energy and 30 Necrozma and Cosmog Candy, with no cost to revert the fusion.

The Dual Destiny season also promises exciting new content, including the return of Hoopa, the debut of Sinistea and Polteageist, and more Shadow Raids. Don’t miss out on this chance to expand your Pokédex and dive into the action-packed season ahead!
