Apple has officially announced that the newly-released iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus which said to support AAA games, thanks to the new powerful A18 chip.
This is a huge upgrade for the base iPhone models, bringing mobile gaming performance to new heights. Now, both models feature hardware-accelerated ray tracing, providing more realistic lighting and enhanced gaming visuals.
This feature also allows the iPhone 16 series to run popular AAA games like Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Resident Evil 4, which were previously only available on higher-end models like the iPhone 15 Pro.
In addition to that, highly popular mobile games like Honor of Kings: World will receive an “ultra” graphics mode in 2025 to leverage this enhanced hardware.
Apple has also positioned the iPhone as a capable gaming device with better battery life, improved processor efficiency, and superior graphics, making gaming on iPhone smoother and more enjoyable.
While the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max offer even better performance, the base iPhone models will now provide seamless AAA gaming experiences without the need for premium versions.
On the other hand Apple Arcade continues to play a vital role in the mobile gaming ecosystem, offering a range of games without microtransactions, further solidifying the iPhone’s place as a go-to gaming device.
